This is my first order on Furbicle. The motivation to purchase from this site is 70% considering the pro-environment efforts and 30% due to the reasonable price. I'll provide my review on two aspects:
1. About the item: I knew I was buying a refurbished item and so I wasn't over-excited to see it. It turned out to be just as expected. I can say that it didn't disappoint me but yes, it didn't give me a pleasant surprise either. It wasn't close to the teak finish as mentioned in the description and a little scratch in the leatherette but I wasn't going to return it just for that. They have brought the bulky item all the way to my address!
2. About the purchase experience: I had placed this order with a 20% discount and payment on delivery option (Try and Buy?). The day the item was to be delivered I saw that the same item was now available with 25% discount. I didn't want to speak to the customer support at this point thinking they could return the 5% excess payment later. I accepted the item (in spite of some issues), got it assembled and made the payment online. Later I enquired the customer care if there was a possibility they refund the 5% amount. (Well, this should not surprise anybody because there are several stores especially in US that refund you the excess amount in case they offer better discount and the item you purchased was still within a period you could return.) To my surprise I got a response saying since I have accepted the item nothing can be done. That actually made me laugh. It seemed they would have been okay if I had returned the item and re-ordered with better discount. I thought that sound stupid to say the least. I'd have expected Furbicle to deal such issues more sensibly and logically.
Nevertheless, my not-so-great first time experience will not deter me from making future purchase from Furbicle due to the reasons I mentioned at the top. On the contrary, I would encourage people to promote businesses such as Furbicle.
